Demaco wins 2nd place in Best of Reality competition for water-saving project
The developer and general contractor of industrial buildings, Demaco, won 2nd place in the 22nd Best of Reality competition. In the Industrial and Warehouse Areas category, it scored with a modern production hall in the dmc construct 4.0 standard with an area of 19,000 m2, which is part of the DMC Pardubice I project.
The modern industrial park DMC Pardubice I, focused on production facilities with high added value, was created by redeveloping the brownfield site of a former factory from the 1960s and Demaco participated in its revitalization together with its partner, Star Capital Finance. The award-winning production hall was built in 2020 for the French company Faurecia, which produces components for BMW, for example. Technical standard dmc constructo 4.0 Emphasizes water efficiency and sustainability.
Another nominated project of Demaco was a production hall in Týniště nad Orlicí with a size of 13,650 m2. The hall was built for the Japanese manufacturer of components for catalytic converters, Cataler, and also has a significant award on its account. In autumn, it won the first place in the LOG-IN 2020 competition in the category Innovation in Logistics Real Estate, mainly due to its focus on water management and water saving in industrial properties.
“In construction, we always emphasize the economical use of water. Maximum catchment and retention of rainwater in the territory, as well as saving drinking water consumption, are among our top priorities,” says Jaroslav Kaizr Ph.D. MRICS, partner of Demaco.
The Best of Reality — Best of Real Estate competition was established in 1999 and recognizes newly built and renovated Czech properties. Nominated are projects that represent the abilities of individual experts in the field — architects, builders, designers, developers but also real estate agents.
